3-day detox diet
The 3-day detox diet is used primarily to rid your body of built up toxins that lurk in your bodily systems. Toxins are all around us, but most people are not aware of the effects that it can have on your body. Due to all types of environmental influences, toxins can build up in your body and make it function at less than an optimum level, making us feel run down.
The 3-day detox diet is accomplished using natural fruit and vegetables that are uncooked. When you first start on this 3-day diet you may feel some of the symptoms of the toxins as they leave your body. Some of these signs and symptoms could include things such as diarrhea and headache. These and other signs and symptoms will appear to be typical flu-like reactions. Drinking plenty of water and good oral care will help to combat some of the effects of detoxification.
To put this detox diet into action you will want to eliminate any caffeine products, such as caffeine containing soft drinks, tea, and coffee. You should not eat anything that is cooked and mainly stick to fruits and vegetable sources. You may squeeze your juice and drink it instead if you like, but nothing artificial should be a part of your diet.
Do not give your body a variety and do not eat at your typical breakfast, lunch, and dinner times. Instead let your body decide when it is hungry and then feed it only one type of vegetable at a time. Only eat until your body says that it has had enough. Do not overfill yourself. When you tire of this particular food item, choose another and so on. After eating this particular food item and decide you do not want it anymore it is your body’s way of telling you, “no more.” It will taste differently and will not be as appealing as it had been. Other items like nuts may also be added for variety.
During your 3-day detox diet make sure to get adequate fluid intake and implement a multivitamin into your diet if you have not already been doing that. You should also take care to get an adequate amount, if not increased amounts of sleep.
This 3-day detox diet should only be carried out for the stated 3 days. At the end of this time period introduce new foods back into your diet gradually so as not to shock your body. Your body should feel a renewed strength and increased energy levels.
As with any diet you should first check with your physician and gain his approval on whether or not you can partake in a 3-day detox diet.
