Going to work everyday should be an experience that makes you feel good. You should not have to worry about a difficult person being there and giving you a hard time. This is not something that is fun and it may even give you added stress that you do not need. Sometimes you have to find the best way to try and deal with the difficult person no matter what it takes.
You can try ignoring someone that is making life difficult at work. This is going to be a challenge for some but it is worth the try. You need to figure out what is going to be the best way to stay away from the person that is making things tough. This may not be easy. It can be especially hard if the person is working closely to you at work. You need to make sure that it is not going to affect your job in any way.
Ignoring someone seems to be cold, but it can work for you. When you are refusing to submit to the treatment that someone is giving to you, this will make your job a lot better. You should not have to deal with anyone that is trying to make your job harder than it already is. It makes no difference what you do; you have no need to deal with a difficult person. You need to figure out what you can do to make this situation better and then move on from there.
Do not be rude when you are ignoring someone at work. After all you do not want to sink to their level. You need to be the bigger person in the situation. You have to have the right level of tolerance to deal with a person that is being hard to work with. Once you have found the level that you can take, it is time to ignore the rest. You may have to work with the person and do your job the correct way, but you do not have to listen to their winning and way of thinking. You should get your job done and that is it.
You need to distance yourself from the person as much as you can. Once you have figured out what you need to do, it is time to stay away from the person making life hard. You will want to stop eating lunch with them, no more taking breaks together and you should not speak to the difficult person any more than what you have to. Using these things will help you to ignore the person and give you the power.
Ignoring someone is going to give you some happiness about the problem too. You will feel like you are being assertive in the situation and making the stand that you need to. When you are serious about ignoring someone at work, this will have to mean that you do your best. You have to make sure that you are not interacting with the person in any way other than what you have to. Maybe it will finally sink into them and they will get the hint that they are being difficult and it may put an end to the entire ordeal.
Do not push the limit too far. You do not want to get into trouble at work for any reason. You do not want to lose your job over it. Make sure that you are keeping it conservative so that the boss does not find out and you are still making your point made to the person that is being difficult.
